***This is our entry for My first game jam. It still needs a lot of polish and there are noticeable bugs, especially in the animation. Some features, e.g. NPC behaviour when being attacked, are currently not implemented due to time limit. Some UI are quite small ... because we didn't  scale with screen size . We didn't add music this time. The game loads a bit slow in web browser :(, we suggest you to play in full screen or download the windows version :)***

Synopsis

The game sets up in a not-too-distant dystopian future. You are a lone wanderer, travelling through a dessert in a land destroyed by nuclear war. You wandered into a village one day, looking for fresh water. The village was just been raided, you struck a deal with the villagers. If you help them get back the well, they will give you fresh water in return.

Download
WaterConflict_Installer.zip 25 MB

Install instructions

For windows

download the zip file, click on the Installer folder, then go to WaterConflictSetUp.exe

For web browser

It might load a bit slow, since it is in 3d with models and animations. Recommended to play on full screen...somehow the light is dimmer and does not show full if not played on full screen :(

I agree the movement feels really strange. I found myself shooting as fast as I could and then moving a short distance, only to repeat it.

WASD movement and mouse aiming would have been nice. If that's not your thing, then some sort of automatic movement or automatic shooting would be good. Trying to do both at the same time with the same controls is a bit weird feeling.

All the models look quite nice! Congrats on getting something done.

Thanks for the great suggestions! :D I will definitely look into doing automatic movements and use different controls in future development!

Good games but the movement are weird :P

Thanks for the feedback! :D

Haha , indeed we also think the movements are bit weird probably because we did it in 3D and then using raycasting for movement, so sometimes the shooting can go quite off :P We are thinking if we are going to do a remake of this game, we will changed the controls to traditional rpg controls i.e. wasd for movement etc or alternatively giving every object a hitbox so the bullet can only go after than (that's what we did to the enemy's shooting).

Thanks again for your suggestion and we will definitely take it into our future development! :D

I am happy to have helped you, I hope that the continuation of your development will do well :P
